Printii

Application examples

From an idea to a production-ready path

These illustrative workflows show how a project can move through Printii. They are examples, not claims about a named customer, guaranteed outcome, or certified end use.

Personal and visual projects

Text to model

A custom display figure from a written idea

Starting point: A description of a character, pose, clothing, and visual style.

Printii path: Generate a model, review the shape, select the intended size and available color or material, request a quote, and order.

Review point: Confirm likeness, fine details, stability, rights, and whether the item is decorative or intended for play.

Create from text

Image to model

A keepsake or display model from a photo

Starting point: A clear image plus instructions about depth, pose, background removal, and the desired physical result.

Printii path: Generate a 3D interpretation, inspect the preview, customize it, and quote the printable geometry.

Review point: An image-based model is an interpretation—not an exact scan—so proportions and print details need approval.

Prototype and DDM examples

Direct digital manufacturing

A multi-part enclosure revision

Starting point: Separate enclosure, lid, bracket, and button files with distinct fit and finish needs.

Printii path: Add every file to a prototype batch, assign per-part materials and dimensions, record mating-surface notes, and compare line-item pricing.

Review point: Confirm tolerances, fasteners, heat, load, wall thickness, and the production process before treating the design as final.

Configure a prototype batch

Instant quote custom 3D prints

A dimensional fit-check part

Starting point: A print-ready model and target X, Y, and Z dimensions.

Printii path: Upload the file, select material and quantity, apply the dimensions, and request current production and shipping pricing.

Review point: Online dimensions do not create a tolerance guarantee; critical fits require documented requirements and inspection planning.

Home, education, and health-related visualization

Custom home goods

A replacement-fit knob or decorative fixture

Starting point: Measurements, a reference image, and the way the part interfaces with the existing object.

Printii path: Create or upload the model, check the mounting geometry, choose a suitable available material, and quote the part.

Review point: Heat, structural loading, food or water contact, electricity, fire safety, and code requirements can make professional review necessary.

Anatomical visualization

A non-clinical training or communication model

Starting point: A licensed anatomical model intended for education, visualization, or a non-patient-contacting fit discussion.

Printii path: Upload and size the model, select an available material, document the intended non-clinical use, and request review.

Review point: Printii does not provide medical advice or certification. Diagnostic, clinical, implantable, patient-contacting, or load-bearing uses require qualified oversight and validated processes.

Orthotic prototype

An assistive-device or orthotic fit concept

Starting point: A qualified designer’s prototype geometry and explicit fit, load, material, and inspection requirements.

Printii path: Treat the object as a prototype batch item with detailed production notes and manual review.

Review point: A prototype is not cleared for clinical use merely because it can be printed; professional supervision and regulatory analysis remain essential.

Document a prototype

Linked project

An LED lamp or RC assembly

Starting point: A model link, kit link, verified model-print subtotal, current kit cost, assembly steps, and shipping assumptions.

Printii path: Analyze the links, calculate a labor and contingency allowance, then request a production review.

Review point: Component fit, voltage, heat, wiring, firmware, batteries, electrical safety, rights, inventory, and shipping restrictions all need confirmation.
